Privacy policy
Product Mirroring Wizard is a Shopify app built and operated by Ioun Developers. It keeps duplicate or regional product listings in step with a parent listing inside a merchant’s own store. This policy explains what we store, why, who else sees it, and how long it lasts.
What we store
- Product references. The Shopify product IDs and titles of the products you link as parents and children. This is the mirroring map itself.
- Sync rules. Your own configuration: the named sync configs, which fields each one mirrors, any metafield namespace list, and which config each parent is assigned to.
- Sync logs. A record of each sync: the child product it wrote to, which fields were enabled, whether it succeeded, any error message Shopify returned, whether a webhook or a person triggered it, and when it ran.
- Dismissed suggestions. When you reject a group on the recommendations page, we store your store domain and a normalised form of the group’s product title so the suggestion stays hidden.
- Store record. Your myshopify domain, your store’s Shopify ID and name, the plan the app is on as reported by Shopify, and whether you have dismissed the setup guide.
- Shopify credentials. The access token Shopify issues so the app can read and update products, along with its refresh token and expiry. This is a store level token that belongs to the installation, not to a member of your staff, so it carries no staff names or email addresses and we store none.
We store no personal data of any kind, about your staff or your customers: no names, no emails, no addresses, no orders. We never receive or store payment details. Billing for the app is handled entirely by Shopify.
Why we store it
Every item above exists to do the one thing you installed the app to do: know which products mirror which, apply your chosen fields when a parent changes, show you what happened, and confirm which plan your store is on.
None of it is sold, rented, or used for advertising or profiling, and none of it is used to train anything.
Who else sees it
- Shopify is the source of all product data, and handles authentication and app billing. We query Shopify’s Partner API with your store’s Shopify ID to read which plan your store is on.
- Railway hosts the application and its Postgres database.
There are no other processors, no analytics services, and no advertising technology.
How long we keep it
Data is kept for the life of the installation, so that your rules keep working.
When you uninstall, the app’s access credentials and session records are deleted immediately. Shopify then sends a store redaction request about 48 hours later, and everything else we hold for your store is deleted: the parent and child mappings, the sync configs, the logs, and the store record. That delay means a reinstall within the window finds your setup intact.
One exception: the record of recommendation groups you dismissed (your store domain and a normalised product title) is not covered by that automatic deletion. Write to us and we will remove it.
Product data that was already mirrored onto your child products is your own store data. It stays in your store, and uninstalling the app does not change or remove it.
Shopify’s data requests
Because we hold no customer data, the customer data request and customer redaction requests Shopify sends on a shopper’s behalf are acknowledged with nothing to return and nothing to erase. The store redaction request is handled as described above.
Changes to this policy
If what the app stores changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top is updated.
